How Car Donation Works

The car donation process is an easy way to help a local charity and possibly get a tax deduction for your contribution. Since 1996, we have raised over $10 million dollars for Northern California charities.

Below we describe the how the vehicle donation process works.

Select the charitable organization of your choice. Charities benefit from the proceeds of your car donation.

Donate your vehicle by phone or submitting online. This process is easy and only takes a few minutes.

A representative will contact you after you submit your vehicle. Then, arrangements will be made to pick up the vehicle at your convenience. Documentation will be provided to you at the time of pickup.

4. Vehicle Processed

After your vehicle arrives, it is processed and evaluated whether it can be resold or dismantled for parts or scrap. This process maximizes the value that the charity will receive.

5. Proceeds Sent to Charity

Proceeds received from your vehicle will be sent directly to the charity that you selected.

6. Tax Documentation

If applicable, final tax documents are sent to donators which reflect the proceeds from their donation and the resulting tax write-off. (consult a tax professional)
